How To Make Pizza

How To Make Pizza

Rather than always ordering takeaway, why not learn to make them at home?

altThe urban present-day lifestyle does not permit too much time for authentic Indian cooking all the time. Unless you have help at home or a wife who takes care of all your meals, you pretty much need to know how to delight your palette all on your own. Pizzas, in this context, make for great food! Rather than always ordering takeaway, why not learn to make them at home? Here is how:

The Dough

If you are ready to experiment then make the base yourself too! Here is what you need: yeast, warm water, sugar, atta, maida, salt, and a bit of oil.
You would need to carefully mix the yeast with the warm water, sugar, oil, until it completely dissolves. Then you knead in the atta and maida, till you get a soft dough. Next, lay this dough out in a circular shape for the base and bake it.
If the above procedure is too complicated for you, simply purchase a ready-made base and work only on the topping.

The Topping

Now this is the area where you can get really creative and dish out an exotic Italian favourite – whether for your family, friends or partner!
Simple Margarita: A basic pizza for cheese-lovers, this variant gives you the authentic goodness of a pizza.
Vegetarian: No meat? No worries. You can still create a stir with some absolutely finger-licking delights as toppings.
i. Regular Vegetarian
You can top up the pizza with rings of onion, capsicum and tomatoes with a dash of herbs.
ii. Array of Veggies
Or you could get creative and include one or more of the following - corn, mushroom, olives, jalapenos, soya chunks, and babycorn.
iii. Paneer also Delights
A tangy taste can be obtained by topping the pizza with paneer diced and slightly sauted in soy sauce.
Meat-Lovers’ Pizza: You can pick from an array of choices.
i. Go Classic
Opt for the classic American ham and cheese to play safe.
ii. Barbecued
You can also get experimental and top the base with barbecued chicken pieces for a superb flavour.
iii. Indian Pizzas
A more ‘desi’ version of the pizza would have tandoori chicken pieces as topping.
iv. Sausages Score Best
Go drooling with pork sausage slices to top it up, if you have hard-core non-veg friends over.
So, put on you chef’s hat and get baking! You never know, you might land up surprising your ladyloveand scoring a few brownie points in the area of romance too!
